Wednesday July 20 - Suncor Emergency Response Simulation
Suncor Energy to host full-scale emergency response simulation in Mississauga
Suncor
Energy, wishes to advise the Region of Peel and surrounding areas of an
emergency response simulation that will take place on Wednesday, July 20 starting at 8:00 am EDT at the Suncor
Lubricants Centre - Marine Terminal Dock located at 385 Southdown Road, Mississauga, ON.
Due
to the nature of the scenario, agencies responding may have additional
containment equipment, such as water booms, as well as motor vehicles
and boats on site.
Participants expected include:
- Suncor
- ECRC (Eastern Canada Response Corporation)
- Peel Regional Police
- Mississauga Marine Unit
- Canadian Coast Guard
- Transport Canada
Emergency
response exercises are developed as a test of our response to potential
incidents. The purpose is to validate plans and to permit learning in a
safe environment.

Cancer Society - Annual Spring Garden Tour - Sunday May 29
Homeowners in the Port Credit Area have
graciously agreed to open their beautiful spring gardens to the public for
viewing on Sunday, May 29 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in support of the fight against
cancer.
In addition, to further enhance visitors’
experience, local musicians will perform instrumental music in selected gardens
throughout the day. There will also be hand crafted artisan items on display and
for sale. Refreshments will also be available for a small donation.
